MOLASSES CRINKLES


¾ cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 egg
¼ cup molasses
2 ¼ cups flour
2 teaspoons soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon ginger
½ teaspoon cloves
¼ teaspoon salt

Preheat oven to 375.  Cream shortening, sugar, egg and molasses.  Add flour and dry ingredients.  Roll into balls and dip 1 side into granulated sugar.  Bake for 7 minutes.
