YAMS & APPLES

6 large yams
6 sliced apples

3 cups water
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon salt
6 tablespoons cornstarch
1 1/2 cup butter

Thicken water, sugar, lemon juice, salt and cornstarch and then add butter. Layer yams and applies in a baking dish and then cover with sauce. Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
